6th Anniversary Limited Edition

In October 2022, Cohana celebrats its 6th anniversary. With gratitude to our customers, we have made Small Hexagonal Temari Box to celebrate our 6th anniversary. From October 1st a limited number of 200 pieces will be available only at the Cohana Nihonbashi Store and Online Store.

Story

The 15 mm diameter small Temari on the lid is made with beige yarn dyed with chestnut prickles and interwoven with gold threads. Polka dots added as accents for its special design.
The gorgeousness and cuteness stand out in the simplicity of the small Temari. The Temari are made by NONA in Nishiogikubo, Tokyo, a company that specializes in Yarn dyeing with natural materials and Temari making.

This box is made with the wild cherry trees of the Tohoku region and topped with a handcrafted Temari as a knob. The smooth texture and beautiful grain of the wood enhances the cuteness of Temari.
In Japan it is commonly said that the hexagonal shape brings harmony and stability to a household. Temaris were traditionally cherished as gifts symbolizing loyalty, friendship, and a blessed life.

This cute size is perfect for storing your precious small items. With a special cushion it can also be used as an accessory box. It would be a great gift for your loved ones!
