Snowtree Pincushion
A pincushion heaped with fine quality wool on top of a mini masu box is made to look like a snow tree. A Star Parquet Sewing Pin on the top adds to the winter holiday feeling.


Mini Masu Pincushion Limited Edition for this winter.
Mini Masu is a small size wooden box made of Japanese cypress and measures just 15 mm (0.6 in) square featuring sophisticated Japanese finger joint that does not require nails to hold the shape of the box. The smooth hinoki cypress of the box gives off a light, woody fragrance.

The pincushion is made of wool from Hokkaido. Sheep carefully raised in Hokkaido. The wool is dyed with local lily of the valley, and finished as a pincushion one by one by hand.

A Star Parquet Sewing Pin crafted from multiple varieties of wood lends a one-of-a-kind natural charm to the Snow Tree Pincushion.

Kokoromoko, a studio established by Mari Sugita. She is a wool felt artist making her works in Hokkaido. She uses the wool felt from the sheep raised in Hokkaido for her art works. The felt balls for Cohana's Otaru Kiriko Pincushion are made carefully by hand for people admire have the warmth of the handicrafts.

Handling Precaution

  • This product is for needle stick only. Please do not use it for other purposes.
  • Be careful not to let the needle get inside the pin cushion.
  • The Masu wooden box and parquet is made of natural wood, so there may be differences in color, grain, and knots. Please enjoy them as the texture of natural materials.
  • The wooden base may get sticky due to the resin of the hinoki. Wipe it off with alcohol to remove the stickiness.
  • The top of the sewing pin may come off if you pull too strong. Also, please keep it away from iron.
  • The needle tip is sharp and dangerous, so be careful when handling lost needles.
  • Storage in high temperature and high humidity, direct sunlight, or drying out may cause cracking, resin, or mold.
  • Wipe off sweat and grease after use.
  • Keep out of reach of infants.
